The RCV-3000 is an infrared to USB receiver. It will decode most major IR protocols and output a simple ASCII equivalent of the code received. It uses a USB controller from FTDI to send a serial command through a USB port using a Virtual COM Port (VCP) driver. The RCV-3000 includes a 1.5M USB Type A cable and an optional velcro sticker for attaching the receiver to a fixed surface.
