The HRC-540A is a low-volume 54 button infrared remote control. It uses the NEC IR protocol as the default code format. Custom firmware can be created by mapping infrared codes from a single or multiple original remote controls. A recessed button area allows for custom overlays to be used to mask of any unused buttons and create a custom key layout. Customized printing on the overlay can be used to label button names as well as add branding, icons or other graphics.
The HRC-540A can be used for prototyping, remote consolidation and remote simplification projects. It is ideal for hospitality applications, where replacing the original remote control with a simple remote that is branded for a specific property is preferred. The HRC-540A can also be used to consolidate the primary functions from a TV, Set Top Box and other devices into a more intuitive and easy to use guest remote.
